Valve sizing

Based on a few input parameters this App allows the right sizing of liquid and gas type of valves.

A "CV" value is calculated and then a data base is built up in order to define the sizing parameters of the calculated valve, as per the specifications input by the App user.

The calculation takes into account non compressible fluids and a tempered process.

VERIFICATION

Based on the simplified equations the App allows the calculation of Maximum Flow, Maximum drop pressure, input pressure, output pressure, as well as providing the valve specification and the percentage of valve.

For all the calculations the following considerations are made:

- Fluid type: Gas & líquid.

- Type of valve definition: Total Bore, Nominal Bore and High Pressure valve.

- Valve characteristics: Fast Bore, Lineal Bore and equal Percentage valve.

- The app allows the definition of a set of several units in order to make it easy and flexible for the user the data input and result calculations.
